Note to Self, November 13, 2023

One of the modules in our Leadership Academy is "Getting Others to Give Their Best." This is one of our most inward looking modules, as it requires us to look at ourselves first and be self-aware of who we are, and how we perceive the world, before we can truly see others and appreciate them for simply who THEY are and what value they offer. Everyone provides value and we want to truly see it, and help cultivate it, alongside them. This is a natural extension of our last series in building culture and going past calling work a "family." We must find the uniqueness in people, in the little time we see, or interact with them at work. And as servant leaders, we can't pick and choose those people. We must take the responsibility to make this a reality across our organization, or across our circle of influence, and lead those that may not look like, talk like, feel like, or work like, us.
